The Flowering City Forum

A Mini-Charrette
Saturday, May 1, 1999
8:00 am to 1:30 pm, Lowell High School

The Flowering City Forum was an opportunity to celebrate Lowell's successes in creating an environment that is a better place to live and work. We  celebrated successful projects that have happened in your backyard!

As many of you know, Lowell the Flowering City charrette was held two years ago. We found out how your efforts have continued in our mini-charrette on May 1, 1999  through sharing and celebration.  We hoped that you would return to the community energized to continue participation in the twenty-five year plan Lowell: The Flowering City. Through panel discussions, presentations, and small group discussions, this non-technical forum explored the following questions:

  • Is there more awareness and commitment to the integration of the natural and human environment in Lowell?
  • How have the ideas that emerged from the charrette been realized in the community?
  • How can we individually and collectively support these efforts and encourage new ones?
Your friends and neighbors to joined together  for an exciting morning of celebration and planning to make Lowell the best mid-sized city in the country!
